At Hive & Thrive, we are committed to helping your organization find common ground, common language and the tools for self-care needed to thrive. We use the principles of positive psychology, as developed by Martin Seligman at the University of Pennsylvania. We can help you reconnect to the values your organization holds dear.

Some examples of positive flourishing tools:

There are SO MANY ways we can improve our level of flourishing. Some sample, concrete take-a-ways and activities that we teach and practice during our workshops:

  • Gratitude: call someone and spend three minutes talking to them about what they have done for which you are grateful. 
  • Catastrophizing: We have probably all done it. You go on a business trip and call your spouse and she does not answer. Your mind starts racing and goes to dark places. A way to combat it is to ask yourself: what is the worst case scenario here? What is the best case scenario? What is the most likely scenario?
  • Find out everyone’s signature strengths and how we can use them to flourish, both at work and in life.
  • Learning how to actively and constructively listen and respond to each other.

What is PERMAV?

PERMAV is the foundation of positive psychology: it stands for "positive emotions," "engagement," "relationships," "meaning," "achievement," and "vitality."
We work with you to to teach and incorporate the tools of PERMAV in your organization.
