We are looking for teachers and administrators that want to emphasize the good that has come from the past year, and exploit it. What can we broaden and build? What can we strengthen?

With that in mind, we want to share the following information with you so you can grow and build on whatever actually worked this year! We will throw a lot of information at you, but it is all based on scientific research. The tools have helped us so much as teachers, parents and spouses, and we want to share it with you! "Preparing to Launch: Helping my High School Senior Transition to College"
This year has been unprecedented for students. While some are in classrooms, some have had a mix of remote and in-person instruction, and some, unfortunately, have not stepped into a classroom since March of 2020. This year has wreaked havoc on our young adults who are trying to learn, all while navigating SAT’s, applying to college, and the uncertain prospects for their first year of college. Recent studies have shown that these factors have led to unprecedented rises in stress and anxiety in our teens.
As parents, we may feel helpless to guide our children through the rest of this year and help them navigate a smooth transition to college, whatever that may look like. There are, however, tools that we can learn that will not only help us to navigate our relationships with them, but that will enable us to feel more confident in our abilities to support them.
We are offering a one time only course for parents entitled, “Preparing for Positive Launch: Helping my high school senior transition to college”.
This course is based on the positive psychology method of PERMAV, as developed by Martin Seligman and his team at the University of Pennsylvania. Among the many topics we will cover in the course are:
...and SO MUCH MORE!
